C. Information from other sources

We may receive personal information from:

4. Customer Content

The Service allows users to upload and manage Customer Content, which may include technical files, design data, documents, comments, and other information. Depending on what a user uploads, Customer Content may contain personal information.

As between you and Chiplet.US, you retain ownership of your Customer Content, subject to the rights you grant under our Terms of Service.

We process Customer Content to provide, secure, maintain, support, and improve the Service, and to fulfill user-requested workflows. We do not treat Customer Content as advertising inventory, and we do not sell Customer Content.

If you upload personal information about other people, you are responsible for having the rights and permissions necessary to do so.

5. How We Use Personal Information

We may use personal information for the following purposes:

  • to create, administer, and secure accounts;

  • to respond to questions, requests, demos, and partnership inquiries;
  • to detect, prevent, investigate, and address fraud, abuse, misuse, security issues, and technical problems;
  • to monitor performance, debug errors, maintain logs, and improve reliability;
  • to develop, improve, and support the Service and related offerings;
  • to comply with law, legal process, and contractual obligations;
  • to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

We may also create aggregated or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify a person and use that information for analytics, product improvement, security, benchmarking, and business operations.

6. Emails and Communications

We may send you service-related and administrative communications, including:

  • account verification emails;
  • password reset messages;
  • security alerts;
  • system or workflow notifications;

You can opt out of marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in the email or by contacting us. Even if you opt out of marketing messages, we may still send you transactional or service-related communications.

7. Our Approach to AI and Customer Content

We do not use Customer Content to train general-purpose artificial intelligence or machine learning models unless you expressly opt in through a clear agreement, written consent, or an explicit in-product control.

We may use Customer Content to provide features you request, including search, analysis, automation, support, debugging, or other service functionality you choose to use.

8. When We Disclose Personal Information

We may disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients:

11. Security

We use reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.

These measures may include access controls, authentication safeguards, monitoring, logging, segmentation, backup procedures, and other security practices appropriate to the nature of the Service.

No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. International Data Transfers

Chiplet.US is based in the United States, and we may process and store personal information in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate.

If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in countries that may have different data protection laws than your jurisdiction.

Where required by applicable law, we will use appropriate safeguards for cross-border data transfers.

13. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA, UK, and Switzerland)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process personal information under one or more of the following legal bases, depending on the circumstances:
